    Kubuntu Grub Menu does not show on boot-up

    What can I change to make it appear when I bootup. Here is my current grub.cfg Also where would I make the changes and which commands would I have to run after the edit is done, such as sudo update-grub? Also why am I seeing MSDOS1 in there as root? Is this normal? Same on my laptop kubuntu, which won't even let me boot off a dvd,cd such as dban or Windows, Kubuntu...anything really.

    FYI, as the guys said yesterday I reinstalled Kubuntu 14.04LTS overnight onto the 256 Crucial M4 with the newest firmware, 07OH or something similar, I recall the previous firmware giving people issues.

    Comment out GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT entry -->
    #GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0

    Save, and then run sudo update-grub
