how to customize Kickoff menu / disable tabs

Hello, is there a way to disable one or more tabs in Kickoff menu (and/or customize their contents)?
I'd like to disable the documents part of the recent history tab, but I found only an editor for the applications tab in Kickoff menu.

The Kickoff source is available - you could edit the sources and then recompile the Kickoff.

Workarounds to disable the documents part of the recent history

The recent documents information is write&read from the ~/.kde/share/apps/RecentDocuments

Options:

a) Get or write a script to keep the ~/.kde/share/apps/RecentDocuments empty.

b) Change the ~/.kde/share/apps/RecentDocuments owner to the root.



Tried this - notes:
- cleaning the RecentDocuments
- changing the ~/.kde/share/apps/RecentDocuments owner to the root with the Root Actions Servicemenu /1/.

The KDE can't write to the ~/.kde/share/apps/RecentDocuments so the Kickoff Recent Documents is clean.

An error message is added to the ~/.cache/upstart/startkde.log (Kubuntu 14.04).
