Yes. You'll need to create a basic one and then edit it to include all three monitors.
sudo nvidia-xconfig
should create one. Also,
sudo X -configure
will create a generic xorg.conf.new file for editing.

When you say "do nothing" you mean no output at all?
Hmm, I'll guess I have to acquire a third monitor to test this.
The only thing I can think of that might work is to build an xorg.conf file and try that. You familiar with xorg.conf and how to construct one?

Does the Multi-monitor allow you to turn on DP-2?
If not, try this:
xrandr --output DP-2 --mode 1920x1200 --right-of DP-1

So xrandr shows three connected - LVDS-0 (laptop internal), DP-1, DP-2 (externals). So you're just not getting a desktop on all three? What does your Multi-Monitor setup show in system settings?

Can you display 3 monitors in Windows? It's entirely possible you won't be able to.
You might have an Intel chip driving the internal monitor and display port while an nvidia chip runs the DVI and HDMI. In that case, you should be able to run 3 monitors.

I can only get 2 monitors enabled at a time.
I have my laptop docked in a Dell E-Port II running Kubuntu 13.10
2 extra monitors attached via the docks display port and dvi port
I installed the latest stable NVIDIA drivers like this
I don't have an xorg.conf file in /etc/X11/Code:sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates && sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
Any ideas?
