Kubuntu won't load, can only get "Grub>" prompt

Hi all, I hope I'm posting this in the right part of the forum. I have Kubuntu installed on my netbook on dual boot with Windows 7. It stopped loading a while ago (no idea why), and now after choosing Kubuntu from the dual boot menu all I get is "Grub>". Does anyone know how I can resolve this? I'm not sure exactly which version of Kubuntu I have, on the grub prompt screen it says Ver 2.00 7ubuntu11, I'm not sure whether this is the kubuntu version or just the grub version.

Of course on a netbook without optical drive you would use a Live USB drive.

Try a USB (if the computer supports it). Hope this helps!
