Can't install Kubuntu 12.10 on VMware player [Host is 64-bit, 4Gb RAM windows 7]

    Hi there,

I've tried to install Kubuntu 12.10 as a virtual machine on my laptop but ther installation seems to stuck after the initial Kubuntu 'loading' screen appears. Does anybody knows why or encountered this behaviour in the past?
I already have 1 Ubuntu 12.10 installed successfully on this laptop as a Virtual Machine and was also able to install Mint with no issues.

Do you know if it is even possible to install Kubuntu in VMware?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Hi and welcome to this forum.
I have run 12.10 and 13.04 on VMware very successfully, as well as numerous other distros so the vm should not be the problem.
I assume that you tried to install the downloaded .iso, so i would suggest that you burn it to a dvd or USB stick first and see if it will run as a live cd.
If it doesn't then maybe you should check the Md5 to make sure it downloaded properly.
