KDE 4.9 updates bug

Not sure if this makes a difference but when I open the terminal it is starting in the documents directory. Is there a reason for this?

yeh 4.9 is very buggy. I don't recommend installing it at this point. Sluggish window movement. Flickering transparent window decorations.

did these exist in the 4.9 betas by any chance? I personally haven't seen any graphical anomalies, and haven't used Konsole for a while (Yakuake) but do see that default dir shown.

Actually it is in the beta as well, the default dir in Konsole.

Well I kind of left this thread solved because I was having several issues. I decided to restore a system image. The system was very sluggish and was having some graphics issues. After restoring I removed the backports ppa.

No I didn't have any problems until the final release. Been using the backports for about a month. Intel graphics.
