    Installation problem

    Hi Guys,

    I wanted to install kubuntu on my pc(Inspiron 6000).

    When i boot up using kubuntu installation cd, it first asked me for type of installation(server or not). I pressed enter.

    then i didnt get any display. screen was flickering.

    Could anybody help me to figure out this problem.

    choose not server, if there is an option called workstation, choose it!

      You are using the "Alternate" CD. If this is your first time installing I would get the Desktop cd and follow this How-to. You'll have a fully funtional desktop in the end.
