    cannot change my default monitor to dell se198wfp, everything is large.

    been around computer all my life from dos to windows 7. got lazy with windows.
    trying out linux and bought a book title moving to ubuntu linux. I am fumbling through.
    I just can't get resolution higher and everything is large. can't change anything.
    I have emachine w3052 with nvida. So, this old dog need to relearn what I forgot about dos...
    Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

    Not at my computer right now but there should be at system settings in screen resolution where you can set up how many Ghz per second size of the screen, how many screens and detect if any.

      Do you have the propriety driver installed? Sound like its a privilege issue.

      to get access to driver settings of the Nvidia driver press Alt+F2

      then type
      Code:
      kdesudo nvidia-xconfig
      try to change settings there.
