What can I check to see if I can solve the problem? (Kubuntu 10.10) [SOLVED]

Odd problem, but off the top of my head is the plug pushed all the way into the jack?

you can also go into a console and type:

alsamixer

and make sure that your Left and Right volumes are equal.

Lol it was the jack that goes into the tower. Seems that one of the cats pulled on it. Sometimes I wish I weren't so lost in thought all the time. Thanks!
