How to change the desktop icon to custom icon?

I have a few shell scripts that I linked to the Desktop folder. That all works well, however I cannot seem to change the icon of the links to custom icons per link. i.e. I have a firefox.sh link and a eclipse.sh link. I don't want hem to have the same system icon for a shell script on the desktop.

Right-click on the icon and select Icon Settings and then click on the small wrench in the General tab and on the next window click on the Icon.
