    kmail help...(SOLVED)

    Hi all...

If I come across a web page that offers an e-mail link and I click to send that person an e-mail, how do I configure kmail to be the default program to handle that task and how do I configure it to bring up a window that you can write and send the e-mail as opposed to bringing up the entire program?

    Thanks!

First you have to tell us which browser you are using.

In Firefox, for example, you'd go into edit - preferences - applications - mailto and select "use kmail" as action. In Konqueror, Opera, etc. the procedure is of course slightly different.

Ooops, my apologies for overlooking that minor detail...

I'm using Opera 10.61. When I click on a link Opera brings up a window asking me to configure an e-mail client. After clicking "yes," the "preferences" window comes up (on the "advanced" tab,) and it's here that I have no idea of what to do.

Also, does anyone know how to add signatures to outgoing mail in kmail?

      Regards...

Edit the settings for "mailto" protocol, and set "kmail" as the program to open with (kmail should open the "write message" window automatically when you click a mailto link).

You can add a signature for different identities by modifying your identities in the "Identities" section: [Choose Identity]>Edit>Signature-tab

The setting for automatically adding signatures in outgoing mail is in the "Composing" section of kmail settings
