won't connect to the internet after hibernation

I installed kubuntu two days. Initially my wireless wouldn't work, but I figured out how to fix it.
Everything was working fine. I hibernated kubuntu this morning. I came back a couple of hours ago and neither wired nor wireless would work.
The network icon in the system tray says "unmanaged" when I place the mouse pointer over it. It says "Network management disabled" when I right-click.

Please help.

Assuming, , you installed 10.04 and not knowing much else of your system or install, but I think this night help. Quite a few have had similar issues, including me, and this worked.
