[CLOSED] Installed Kubuntu using Wubi-Login issue

Hey Guys,

Trying to shift from Windows to Linux and I find myself stuck at the very first step.

So I used Wubi to install Kubuntu and was successfull in doing so.However I am stuck at the "welcome to kubuntu" username/password prompt.I dont remember Wubi asking for any Username/Password.

I tried the following u/p combinations but no go.

U:root
P:root

U:kubuntu
Pleft it blank)

how can i reset the u/p?

please help! I definitely wouldnt like to uninstall and reinstall .....it took me long!

Wubi does ask you to provide a username and a password during the installation.

Alright...i remember seeing that window and entering a u/p.

I just tried that u/p but still no go.I am quite sure I am entering the same password as I did when wubi asked me but cant get through.

another option? maybe using cli ? please let me know.

The username will be lowercase. The password is case sensitive. Do you remember both?

hmmmmmmm...u know after reading ur reply i tried to think hard and im sure about the password but the funny thing is .....now im not so sure about the username.

I tried to run wubi again.....cuz I thought maybe it will show me that window(the one you posted) again and ill see the username....but its giving me a message" please uninstall the current"...etc etc..

so u think i need to uninstall and reinstall??

Well, as you just installed it and can't even get in, yes. In Windows, Add/Remove in the Control Panel.
