dont know how to use amarok 2.2.0 :'(

im new in kubuntu.... i wanna play music (MP3) files in amarok but just cant get any sound... DVD runs... but only sound no video!!! what shoud i do?!!!

1st- open your package manager and and hit the refresh button then do a seartch for kubuntu-restricted-extras and install it.

then open a terminal and copey and past this in it and hit enter.

sudo wget --output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/$(lsb_release -cs).list && sudo apt-get --quiet update && sudo apt-get --yes --quiet --allow-unauthenticated install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get --quiet update

this will add the medibuntu repo to your source.list

then

wile your in the terminal do this

sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2

that will add the abilaty to watch DVD's

post back wih eney problems or sucsess

You might want to right click on your volume icon, go to mixer settings and slide the pcm all the way up as well.

Along this line, make sure nothing is muted. I had that happen a few times with XBMC, until I sorted it out.

vinny... somehow now mp3 music is playing

is there anyway i can play .dat files aswell??

during my windows days i used to install mega codec pack and i could play almost any format of file in any player... like if i could download and install a codek pack so that amarok could play any format of music and video
