Looks like you have two hard drives. From a LiveCD output both:
      Code:
      sudo fdisk -l
      and
      Code:
      sudo blkid

Re: Does grub support hpfsplus format?? (Mac os X)?

looks like your grub is calling the wrong stuff for mac OS X, you can pass boot on to HFS+ partition, since as i understand the chaninload command basicly says look here to load this boot loader.

a quick bit of google magic turned up this page on the OSX86 wiki

        http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/in...e_And_Accurate

a good portion of that seams to be about setting up grub for a triple boot w/ osx,win & linux.

The error you are getting has nothing to do with Grub - it's an error reported by your HackintOsh OS. It's the equivalent of Grub not being able to locate it's boot loader at the location you pointed it to.

You are going to need to research this on an appropriate forum - HackintOsh.org

Hi guys im already informed more or less...i talked with the support guys on irc of hackintosh.org....and it seems that maybe grub doesnt support that format....so they told me to use chameleon cause it works for them or darwin boot loader....anyone got any ideas on how to use that thanks XD and most important of all how to set up those loaders

Hi i found this....that might help me....idk....cause ive done that and still gives me the same error although i think is cause in the menu.lst i gave no direction to read the boot of mackintosh....4 example....:
title Kubuntu 9.10, kernel 2.6.31-16-generic (recovery mode) (on /dev/sdb2)
                root (hd1,3)
                kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-16-generic root=UUID=2f186bf6-3416-47c2-b0b0-d4cdb5c7506b ro single
                initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.31-16-generic
                savedefault
                boot
/boot.vmlinuz-2.6.31-16 is the kernel and all that stuff is accesing to start it....so what should i put in mackintosh just this??

                i think thats wrong......

Although the guide says so...but doesn't say what route to specify....

                Ubuntu People Follow this guide.
                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                1) Copy the folder "i386" from the OSx cd (which is located at /usr/standalone/i386)and put it in /boot/grub/ The i386 folder is hidden normally so ensure you can see all hidden files in whateveroperating system you are currently in.

                2) Open Terminal and run this command.
                " sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst "
it will allow to configure your boot order.

                3) Edit your OSX in Editor Window.

root (hd0,0) " Replace with your Partition of OSX "

                chainloader +1

                4) Save & Exit Restart your system and feel the difference.

I tried for a few weeks to get grub2 booting OS X 10.6 on a Macbook without much luck. Chainloading does not work so don't bother with it. The advice you got on IRC is good advice, use chameleon if you installed OS X on a PC. I have no experience with neogrub but I doubt it will work either.
