    Can gtk-recordmydesktop work without PulseAudio

Ok, i had problems with my sound, and i have followed a thread here on forum that suggested to uninstall PulseAudio. And so i did it. And sound started working correctly with browsers, video players, amarok...After that i installed gtk-recordmydestkop...and now it cannot record sound...when i try recording only video it works correctly, but with sound it gives me the error "758" or something like that. It says it cannot detect sound driver...
So im guessing it has to be caused by the shortage of PulseAudio...
Is there a workaround to it??

I think that gtk is gnome/Ubuntu. Kubuntu is qt.

    The website says:
The commandline tool (which essentially is recordMyDesktop),
is written in C, while there are two frontends, written in python with pyGtk (gtk-recordMyDesktop) and pyQt4 (qt-recordMyDesktop).
If you are using Kubuntu , my guess would be, you should be using pyQt4 (qt-recordMyDesktop).
