[SOLVED] Wireshark problem with the interfaces

Hi guys, I'm kind of a newbie. I recently installed wireshark using the software package kit... , it installed fine, but when i opened it, no interfaces are shown. When i looked in the help, it says:
"On Linux, you need to have "packet socket" support enabled in your kernel; see the "Packet socket" item in the Linux "Configure.help" file. Your distribution might enable this by default in the kernel."
I looked for the Configure.help file without result. Can anyone help me? I also search the forums and there was a post about this very problem, but no solution( at least not a clear one), is given. Also, i have installed wireshark in windows and worked just fine, so my network is not the problem. Thank you

    hear wireshark-Version 1.2.2

works just fine BUT it must be started with

    Code:
    vinny@desktop:~$ kdesudo wireshark
    to see eneything!!

AND you'd better be carfull and use it ONLY on your network or you will be beaking the law.
