adept reports pkg broken-how to remove or fix

When I search for sound-juicer in adept, it reports pkg broken. How can I remove it so I can reinstall?

sudo apt-get remove --purge sound-juicer

in a Konsole window should get rid of it. Next

sudo dpkg --configure -a

would be another good command to make sure your package manager is in good shape.

Thank you for that-SJ successfully removed. I then installed SJ with adept and it turned out have the same probs as the one I removed. Any suggestions as to which SJ works in 8.04?
