reusing a CD-RW for latest release

Hey all, I had a virgin blank CD-RW media I used to put a beta of 9.04 on. that went fine but when i put the release on it, I could read the files on it and if i put it in a windows machine the auto boot worked. but i could not get it to boot in any computer I put it in. I checked the MD5 and it was right. I used the same .iso on a blank CD-ROM and it worked.

Now i want to play with Karmic on a laptop the wife has replaced. i will get a new .iso but,

Is there a trick to reusing a CD-RW as a bootable media?

    Thank you in advance.

I had a 8.10 ISO recorded on CD-RW and just re-written like normally. Works just fine.

Mostly, RWs don't work, according to the posts I've read. Apparently it is possible that they can work. The official instructions are pretty clear:

This post says you can "blank" your CD RW and it will work:

An alternative is to put it on a USB stick, with the app called unetbootin - if you can boot from USB.
