Occansional keyboard problem

My keyboard is a standard logitech keyboard (with wire)

Occassionally, certain KDE parts (such as krunner or dolphin) will not accept any input I made to the keyboard.

When that happens I could still use "Alt + Tab" to switch to another application.

Restarting X would temporarily solve the problem but the same problem will appear from time to time.

Has anyone got an idea what's wrong with my setting? Thanks.

It would be quite helpful if you told us what version of Kubuntu and KDE you are using.

I have been using Kubuntu 9.04 since its release. I used Ubuntu before that (don't seem to have the problem back then)

I have recently upgraded to 4.3 and still have this keyboard problem.
