I just want to say it is posable for a noob to get a good OS with Kubuntu and on old hardware!
this is a HP Pavilion XE763 700Mhz CPU 383RAM inteli810 onborde grafick's
8.04 hardy as original install upgraded to 9.04 Jaunty thrugh wirless and adept.
the wireless was setup in 8.04 with ndiswrapper and survived the upgrade just fine as did all my bookmarks and things I had in /home/vinny
Sorey if it seems like braging but I just wanted to show that it could go right .....LOL

XP min. 512 RAM but XP runs ok on this box to...........it just never get's booted eneymor...........LOL.........acualey Linux dose beter than XP when using a lighter WM like KDE3 or xfce or fluxbox and not TO diferent withKDE4
