"downloaded files" popup folder. Can it be made useful? Or a way to disable it?

    Hi all,

Newbie to Kubuntu here... Everytime I download a file I get a popup of recently downloaded files. That would be fine if I could execute the files from there, but I can't.

So, is there a way to enable me to execute a file from that popup window, otherwise, is there a way to disable the popup altogether? I searched but couldn't find the answer.

    Thanks.

You can configure how that behaves in firefox - edit - preferences - main - downloads

For example, before I used the flashgot add-on with kget I had the dialogue ask me where to save the file and then close automatically once the download finished.
