Re: help
Provide us with some useful information? Really, your post contains nothing that would enable anyone to provide any kind of meaningful advise. :PWindows no longer obstructs my view.

Re: help
Powerbits,
Snowhog makes a good point. We can't figure out what you mean by what you wrote.
Presumably, you got some error message. It would be helpful if you could post that error message just as you saw it. It might even be a good idea to state what you were trying to do when you got the error. With that information it should possible for someone to help you. It never hurts to also mention which version you are using, in case there are version specific issues.

Re: help
If you have Synaptic look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SynapticHowto and scroll down to "How to fix broken packages". If you don't have Synaptic scroll down to "Troubleshooting" - that is:
"What to do if an installation process fails and you find it is no longer possible to install or remove packages: Open a Terminal and type the following commands, pressing the Return or Enter key after each (you may have to type in your password):
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get install -f"A problem well stated is a problem half solved." --Charles F. Kettering
