    Problem installing virtualbox

I am on 8.04. I install appropriate VB pkg using adept, which then shows VB installed, but .virtualbox directory and item in Kmenu do not appear. Can anyone help?

the ".virtualbox" directory probably will not be created until you run it. Try Alt-F2. In the run line type "VirtualBox" (without the quotes) and click on "Run". If it runs, then it is installed and since it ran (hope that it does), then the ".virtualbox" should get created.

SOLVED. Got it installed with sudo apt-get.
The program 'virtualbox' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
          sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose
          bash: virtualbox: command not found
          albert@ALBERT:~$ sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose
          [sudo] password for albert:
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
          albert@ALBERT:~$ sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose

Great! Glad to hear. VirtualBox is a great little free app. Hope it stays that way. Have Fun!
