    [SOLVED] Access Denied

I have previous applications that I have downloaded, and after deciding not to install them, I deleted the extracted contents. (They were in a tar.gz file, I extracted the contents, and then deleted them.)
Now, whenever I try to fully empty my trash, I get the following error:

    Code:
    Access denied to /home/susan/.local/share/Trash/files/(file name(s))
The size, with the files that can't be permanently deleted, is now 6.2 MB
    With 341 files and 178 sub-folders.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

    Re: Access Denied

Have you tried browsing there as ROOT and delete them that way? It could be a rights issue with that folder. Going there that way isn't a fix, but at least it'll get you there to delete them.

      Open Konqueror.
      Navigate to ~/.local/share/Trash/files
Press Ctrl+A and hold (do not let go of these keys)
Right-click your mouse and select Root Actions > Delete
      Navigate to ~/.local/share/Trash/info
Press Ctrl+A and hold (do not let go of these keys)
Right-click your mouse and select Root Actions > Delete

thank you both. Sorry for the tardiness in my reply, but my husband did it for me before I checked back here. I will be sure to save the instructions for if this is to come up in the future.
