Simple rule of thumb. Anything ending with 'd' like that is a daemon and just runs in the background.

You need to install powertweak-gtk or lspowertweak as well. There is a meta package just called powertweak that should do it all for you along with the -extras package. be careful with powertweak won't you.

I installed powertweakd using Adept and it says it's installed, but I can't seem to bring it up. I've tried Run Command and Konsole and I can't seem to bring it up. I've noticed that before. Installing a program and can't launch it. How do I fix this? Thanks.
