Konsole not as handy as I thought it was.

Okay so I put a command into Konsole in an attempt to fix a problem with Adept. But then I get this:

[sudo] password for (my username)

When I try to type in my password or anything for that matter, the cursor just stays there blinking at me. What gives?

The cursor does just blink even when you type in your password. This is to prevent someone from counting the number of characters in your password while they are standing behind you. Just type in your password and press <Enter>.
