Ok, I got past the black screen issue. Text mode install works now for some reason (it didn't before). The new issue is the installer freezing. When it gets to "select and install software" it either freezes at "Preparing openoffice.org-core" (58%) or (85%). The 85% says "Preparing x-11 common.
- If you have copied text output that contains formatting (colors, highlighting, etc.), please do not enclose it in QUOTE or CODE tags. Just right-click your mouse and choose "Paste Without Formatting" or similar (Paste as plain text).
