    Synaptics touchpad?

While my Synaptics touchpad has a dozen features I love, I can't imagine life without tap zones.

When I click on the top left corner, it works as "back" in just about any application. Can I do this easily through Kubuntu, or do I have to drag in the Windows driver?

Are you using the ksynaptics driver?
If so then in the tapping section you can enable many tap zones. However I'm not sure if you can set it to act as a certain keyboard command or it only can emulate one of the mouse buttons.
Using this you can easily set that button (mouse, or keyboard?) to the "back" function in any app (eg. in konqueror, settings>configure shortcuts). A bit of a hack I admit but it should be perfectly workable.

Maybe someone has something more elegant (if you can keyboard button allocate the tap then its all nice but it wasn't clear that this is possible from looking at the ksynaptics settings).
