    how to resize desktop icons?

they're too big..the default resolution of kubuntu is the max resolution my video card can get so i can't change the icons' size by changing it. and about the Dolphin, i want to remove the "preview pane" (i don't know if i named it right) on the right side that shows the details of the item you point your point mouse on. is there a way to deactivate it? thanks!

    Changing desktop icons:

    Open kcontrol
    -Alt-F2 'kcontrol' > Enter

Appearances & Themes > Icons > Advanced Tab

Select Desktop/Filemanager > Select Icon size.

    Dolpin:

    F9

Using F9 to close the right hand pane or F8 to close the left one will keep it closed. Until you open either one using the hotkey.
