Avant Windows Navigator

Hey all just two quick questions;

1. can AWN be installed on Kubuntu 7.10?
2. where can I find the step by step instructions on doing that?

Fintan - Thank you for the link everything worked and AWN installed an shows up in my menus and all. It will start and run showing what I currently have open but will not let me edit the settings.

Any ideas?

whenever i try to run avant manager to edit the settings it doesnt work (the window never opens). any ideas? thanks

I opened my Adept Manager and typed in AWN; the installed are as follows

awn-core-applets
awn-manager
cairo-clock
libawn0
python-libawn0

At first I was having the same problem with the manager not starting. So I uninstalled everything and followed the link instructions again. The only thing I did differently was that I started awn manager first then started awn.

Other than that I have no idea why it started working. Now it is working fine. Hope that helps.

Anyone tried to install AWN on Hardy?
I installed it but there are some thing missing; like:
awn-extras (no repository for ubuntu HH?)
awn-core-applets; my adept manager doesn't find this package...

If I will be able to get it working right, how do I remove the panel?
(BTW AWN works, but it's just task manager and nothing else, so its basically useless)
