I just finished installing Kubuntu and when it boots up, the monitor goes to "no signal". The same thing happened when I was installing, and I had to use the text install. I'm currently using an Nvidia 8600 GT, what do I need to do?

No signal, or 'black screen'? If black screen (actually active, and not 'shut off'), then you might want to review dibl's How to get started with no GUISlava Ukraini! 🇺🇦

Re: No video
Actually, it is my understanding that the 8000-series cards can have a problem with the KDM/GDM splash logins screens.
