    Help with Video

    Hi Everybody,
I'm really new to Linux, and enjoying my fumbling learning process. The one persitent problem I've encountered, though, is that I simply CANNOT play video (MPG, WMV, etc.) from the web. I've tried installing the w32 codecs, I've tried using RealPlayer, I've tried changing the video streamers in the software...nothing works! Can someone please help me?
I'm running Kubuntu 5.10 on an old-ish Dell Laptop (Inspiron 2500) with Kaffeine as the default media player. I cannot seem to find the Xine Player to try out, and Kaffeine just refuses to work. Any help would be appreciated. Interestingly, when I used the Live CD before installing, videos from the net played fine on Kaffeine.
    Thanks!

Have you installed flash from the repositories? Also try installing firefox or using that instead.
