I have Kubuntu on my second HDD. Can someone please help me install firefox? I did this: tar -xzvf firefox-1.5.tar.gz and this has created a Firefox directory. But, when I click on any file, nothing happens? Which one of the extracted file is the 'executable' (to use a Windows term)? Appreciate your help

Re: Firefox install Help
Unfortunately, that won't work for 1.5 yet. 1.5 will be in the Dapper repositories, but 1.0.7 is Breezy right now.Originally posted by Christopher Walkenat konsole type sudo apt-get install firefox

Re: Firefox install Help
FYI:
Since Ubuntu & Kubuntu share repositories it would seem to me that you will end up with a faster firefox. For some reason, the mozilla.com build of Firefox is significantly faster than the default Ubuntu one.
