    Transfer from ubuntu to kubuntu

Hello for all members of this forum!

Sorry for my stupid question beforehand (y for my english )
    well,
I have installed ubuntu (with gnome, certainly) y now, after some time, have installed kde-desktop with command:
    sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
and after rebooted my system according to direction.
But after no appeared a choise between kde y gnome, though during boot was inscription "kubuntu" instead of "ubuntu".

How I can do KDE as 1-st booted system from gnome where I am now?

    1000Thanks beforehand

You can select which session (gnome or kde) to run in the login screen, which should automatically remember your last selected session (so if you choose kde, it'll remember it until you change it again).

Check the menus in the login screen for the choice (Where it is exactly depends on whether you're using kdm (kubuntu default) or gdm (ubuntu default), and which theme you're using...but it's there somewhere

kind of a secondary note here, but if you want to change that initial splash screen when you boot up (where it first said "Ubuntu" and now says "Kubuntu"), it's pretty simple. explained in this HowTo:
