Wi-Fi configuration from Live CD ?

I've just downloaded a Live CD of Kubuntu (PowerPC) and I'd like to know how to configure it for web access through a wireless WEP-encrypted (128-bit, hex key) network. Is it possible ?

I'm new to Linux and don't want to install anything on my HD(s) just yet.

P.S. : The computer is a Mac mini G4 and obviously the wireless card is AirPort Extreme.

You can do some configurations via the Live CD but not much...so do some research before you try...

And regardless of the four year old post date, one CAN configure a Kubuntu LiveCD to connect to a Wifi WEP or WPA AP. One can also download and install apps from the repository, and try them out, all WITHOUT touching the HD. I always do that when checking out a new ISO.
