    [solved] winecfg $display error

I recently installed kubuntu 7.10. I used Adept Installer to dl wine, and used wine to install Battlefield 2. Installation went fine but the program does not want to load due to a no cd error. Through my searching I discovered that I need to manually set winecfg to notice a cd in the drive. So heres the problem; I go to open winecfg and I get this error:

    err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!
    err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!
    err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!
    err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!

Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded.
Make sure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly.

Theres a lot more than that but I believe all the important info is there. I am running a 64bit architecture, is this the problem? How do I go about fixing this?

You need to edit the file, as apposed to opening it. You can open Kate (in K Menu | Utilities on my Feisty system), then select open and navigate to the file. It is possible, that you'll need root access to actually edit/save changes to the file.

pardon the noob question but where exactly is the winecfg file when navigating to it?

        Open a console shell. Type:
        Code:
        cd /
        sudo find -name winecfg
and press enter. You will be prompted for your password.

You'll get a listing of locations that match the search on winecfg
If you can't determine which location out of the list is the one you want, copy and paste the results and I'll see if I can point out which one you want.

Simple. Open the initial by clicking the modify button. Change the subject line.
