    HELP!

I have Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 set up in two partitions and I have left room for a third OS which I would like to be Kubuntu. On the third partition I have about 14 GB left. How do I install and set up Kubuntu on the third partition?

This is my test machine for learning purposes.

You will find excellent information here.

Yep, the psychocats site is an excellent resource.

On 14GB for testing/learning purposes, with no irreplaceable data involved, I'd just partition it into 2 partitions:

      0.5GB for swap
13.5GB for the rest of the OS and filesystem

If/when you set up Linux "for real", you'll want a separate partition for "/home" for your data, so it is separated from OS changes, but it's not necessary for experimentation and testing.
