    mobile os

    ok. im fairly new to Linux in general. now...here is what i wana do. i want to take my external. and install kubuntu with all my files ect on it...and take it to any computer and boot from it with little problems... is this possible with kubuntu? if so how can i do it? if not can any one make a recommendation of an os that can? thanks

    As far as being able to run the OS on any system, anywhere, there is one major limitation: the computer your trying to boot from must be able to boot from a USB device (I'm assuming your external hdd is USB compliant). Most of the newer motherboards are incorporating this feature into their BIOS, but many older motherboards do not have this capability.
