    windows tidyup problem

OK, I hate it when someone wants to remove linux from their dual boot but I feel a duty to know and to be able to explain how it should be done, I am thinking of three situations with windows as first boot and the removal is linux but probably not kubuntu:

    - someone who wants to change distros, and therefore wants to remove the first distro of linux all together for another

    - someone who has messed up his install and wants to reinstall his distro a fresh

    - someone who has fix an external harddrive and now has a false boot message to a device that no longer is connected

    every day is a gift

The first two are easy. Just install/reinstall to the existing partitions. The installer should allow you to format the partitions.

The third is another issue. Without knowing more details or exact error messages it would be hard to diagnose.
