QuIck question - Penguin Racer won't play?

Hi - Super New at this - Sorry for any cluelessness -

Have a Dell 8100 (old laptop) that just got working with Kubuntu to try this out... Got the NVidia driver working, and so thought I'd try it out(3-d wise) with Planet Penguin racer... Downloaded/installed it with adept... yet when I click on the game from the K menu - nothing happens... am I missing something?

Have you tried in the konsole:

:~$ ppracer

It should give you error messages.


If you get something like this:

X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 168
Major opcode: 148
Minor opcode: 3
Resource id: 0x0
Failed to open device
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 168
Major opcode: 148
Minor opcode: 3
Resource id: 0x0
Failed to open device

It isn't error (it is practical joke - or so i think > ). More:
