kde under ubuntu, wifi and display trouble

    hi,

i installed kde under ubuntu and while kde starts up and I can run my software, there are some problems. Im hoping someone has some answers.

    1) I can't change my resolution within kde, the "Display" button is missing
    2) Wifi does not automatically connect, i need to logon to gnome wait till it's connected and then switch to kde
    3) kmixer, kwifi won't stay in the panel, i need to start them after each reboot

Most definatly it's something very simpel but I can't figure it out.

    thanks in advance

oh forgot something else, not really unimportant:

when starting KDE the touchpad (dell 6000 - synaptic) is completely wrong calibrated. The cursor does not get around the full screen and the actual "click point" is about 200px above the cursor. After a few minutes it's working properly.
