Sudo password lock...?

Kay, I am a tewtal nub when it comes to linux, so I have no idea at all whats going on here. Every time a try a command in Konsole that uses sudo, and it asks for the password next, I can't type my password! So far, this is the root of all my problems in linux, so if someone could help me out here, I would appreciate it aLOT

A little example of what I mean:

wekim@wekim-desktop:~$ sudo -i
Password:

Right when it asks for password, I can't type anything, and my only choice is the exit out of Konsole.

WARNING: I am pretty new to Linux, so don't trust everything I say.

It's supposed to do that. You are still entering your password even though it doesn't show anything. Simply enter your password and hit enter.
