Missing printer

My printer was found on the port (lp0) and installed fine with the LiveCD (6.10) but after installation it could not be found on the port!

To narrow down your problem, could you please post the console's feedback (if any) to both of the following command (to be issued one line at a time):

lsmod | grep 'lp' -
lsmod | grep 'parport' -

Reasoning: I just want to make sure the essential modules for a "printing @ parallel port" are being loaded into the kernel at boot time (which may or may not be the case by default).
