Mount and transfer files to amazon's Kindle Fire HD (12.04)

I'm not sure where to post this so please put it where it belongs.

For anyone wanting to know how to transfer files to an amazon Kindle Fire HD see this link:

How to mount and transfer files to Kindle Fire HD on Linux
    http://www.linuxandlife.com/2013/01/...recognize.html

This worked for me on the "HD", and maybe soon I'll be posting what happened with a "HDX"!

I spent lots of hours searching on how to make this happen until I found this info, so maybe it
    will help someone else!fb

Added note to my first post on transfering files to Kindle Fire HD on Linux:

I used Calibre to install ebooks from the Internet. Do not install Calibre from your package manager,
it may not function by not recognizing your kindle/USB connection, Instead go to Calibre's website and follow their instructions to install Calibre binary install at:

    http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux

There is a Calibre Ubuntu tutorial how to use Calibre:

    http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...to+use+Calibre

and "See calibre in action" at:
