    Get kounted: popularity-contest

Did you know that you could send statistics of what packages you are using often and which not, so that the (K)Ubuntu developers can prioritize ? You need the popularity-contest package installed. I believe it is installed by default, but disabled. To enable it, do this:

    Code:
    sudo dpkg-reconfigure popularity-contest
(and follow the prompts). To learn more about the package, in a Konqueror browser, type this as the Location:

    Code:
    man:popularity-contest
Here is some more info from the package summary:

Vote for your favourite packages automatically
When you install this package, it sets up a cron job that will
anonymously submit statistics about your most used packages
    periodically to the developers.

This information helps us make decisions such as which packages
should be promoted and so be in standard installs.
    Go ahead, get kounted.
