    Broken foomatic-db-engine

    I was in the middle of installing new package and got this error :

    ==========================================
    sudo apt-get install kompozer
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
    The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    xubuntu-desktop: Depends: foomatic-db-engine but it is not going to be installed
    E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

    The foomatic-db-engine package can not be fixed by any means, it just stuck there preventing me from installing anything else > > >

        dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 13952
        Something is wrong in the /var/lib/dpkg/status file, line 13952 or near it => invalid package name.

        With the error message: " dpkg: parse error, in file /var/lib/dpkg/status" i can find (google finds):

        > Ubuntu Formums: how do I repair /var/lib/dpkg/status?
