[SOLVED] Does the fisheye lens work for you?

In Settings > Workspace Behavior > Desktop > Accessibility there's
    Looking Glass
A screen magnifier that looks like a fisheye lens
I've tried Plasma 5.18.5 (Kubuntu 20.04), Plasma 5.22.5 (KDE neon) and Plasma 5.22.9 (Kubuntu 21.04 with the beta ppa) without success.

meta= and meta- work for me (KDE Neon Plasma 5.22.5)

Are you using the keyboard =/- keys? The numbepad =/- are not the same keys, in terms of shortcuts, so they do not work for this unless you change the shortcuts to use these instead of the default.

Also, I noticed after switching between fisheye and the regular magnifier, sometimes neither would work until I toggled compositing off and on. alt-shift-f12

I'm using the keyboard keys, not the ones on the num pad.

I'll try your alt-shift-f12 trick and see.

      EDIT: that did the trick!

FURTHER EDIT: I wonder if your tip could be squeezed into the Desktop Effect page!
