Google in FF does not search; others do / transitory

Now...HERE is a kewl konundrum for the people who actually know things...not moi! lol

    Firefox worked perfectly last night.

I have not shut down, restarted, added anything on, taken anything away...nada....

    But....

Firefox will not "do a search" when using Google as the search engine.

It will "do a search" when using any other engine from the drop down list such as yahoo or bing, or whatever.

In other words, I started FF, typed in "Kubuntu forums" sans quotes and got "document not found"...

Ok, thought the net must be down or something... tried rekonq and it works...

Went back to FF went through all of the preferences to see if something was discernable, nada.

Tried Yahoo, and Bing, to search for:

    Kubuntu forums, got it
    "dog" got it
    "cat" got it

Tried restarting, etc. but no joy....Google search engine in FF does not work.

Is this juicy or what! lol

    comments?

    WOAH....THIS JUST IN!!!!!

as a last try, I tried again to use Google in FF and....

    now it works....five minutes later

    JUICY OR WHAT!?

        Google hates you
I do not personally use Kubuntu, but I'm the tech support for my daughter who does.

Next time, you could try clearing the FF cache. Some piece of adware goosed my google search screen a few months ago. Searches still worked (I think) but I got an ad instead of the "Google" banner. Clearing cache and history fixed IIRC.
