    adept manager

    Hi All

Can some one tell me how I start Adept Manager from the command line to arrange root privileges.

Also read a lot about which command to use for firing up a GUI from the command line, (kdesu-sudo-gksudo) all of which seem to have their own problems.

    Thanks in advance

    Code:
    kdesu adept_manager
    For Adept Manager

    Code:
    kdesu adept_installer
    for Add/Remove Programs

Basically you use kdesu instead of sudo for programs that run graphically.

      Thanks Jucato,

I will give it a try, one other thing, I have got KDE desktop loaded on Ubuntu, and I don't seem to be able to find KDE control center, is this because it belongs in another distro, therefore it's not loaded?

The KDE Control Center in Kubuntu is just "hidden". What Kubuntu uses by default is System Settings, which is in the K Menu. Just think of it as KControl with a different skin.

(It will be the new KControl in KDE 4, by the way)
